Well thank you, considering how much you hate my guts. I managed to get it to a previous restore point. This time I just erased files, and not the keys.


Well, YET MORE BEMUSMENT at my computers win-xp intall update.


So, I took off ALL of the creative sound blaster SW (~380 Megabytes) and some other files out of the temp caches. I now have no sound to speak of. Oh HOW LOVELY micro-crud 2009 computing is!!!!


I had auto-update off.

I got to 1.18 gigs of free space on my C: partition.

Turned on auto update, BIG MISTAKE!!! I should have DL'd it with firefox to another partition.

It DID NOT ASK where to DL the update it was going to get for me. It got down to 248 Megs on my HD, and THEN started installing itself!!!!!

RAN OUT OF HD SPACE!!!! BIG SURPRISE!!!!!


Micro soft has the MOST INCOMPETENT PEOPLE working for them!!!!!

Never heard the proverb "look before you leap"?

Now I'm screwed!
